This 10-week program is designed for all levels. Whether this is your first time training for a race or you're a seasoned runner, we will train for all levels to conquer that finish line!

Here’s what to expect during the course of the Quidi Vidi Run Club Tely10 training program:

The Workout

  • 3 weekly programmed runs
    • 2 group runs at 6:30am at various locations in St. John's ( with occasional evening ones)
    • Weekend long run (on your own time)
  • Supplementary run-specific strength training, stretching and mobility instruction for injury prevention

The Details

  • You must register for the Tely10 on your own; registration for the Quidi Vidi Tely10 Run Club does not include Tely10 registration
  • Within a week of registering, you will receive an email with more details
  • If you have registered for the Quidi Vidi Mews 8K Race, email dee.steiner@quidividibrewery.ca prior to registering for the Run Club in order to receive a discount code
  • Training starts the week of April 19th
  • Tely10 Race Date: Sunday, June 28th, 8:00am

The Coach

David Janzen, RMT at Physio & Co.

David Janzen is an RMT who specializes in sports injury prevention and rehabilitation. He has competed in triathlons (sprint, Olympic, and ultra distances) and various other run and cycling races and events. He is a trainer for the Newfoundland Rogues and emphasizes the importance of strength and mobility work not only for athletic pursuits, but for enjoyment of activities in general life. With certifications in KT taping, fascia work and sports massage, he loves helping people find joy in movement.
